What happens to my product when it is recycled?


Every mobile received is 100% recycled to the highest industry standards including ISO 14001 and 9001, with a strict ZERO landfill policy in force to ensure that no mobile or its corresponding parts/accessories will be placed in a landfill polluting the environment for generations to come.

How do you determine the value of my mobile?

Every mobile will be graded in-store by our trained specialists into one of three categories: Working, Non-Working and Beyond Economical Repair. The value paid is dependent on the age, condition and demand for the mobile with the price updated in real-time on our unique in-store system. The value of mobiles is like the stock market, so keep checking the price as this can alter sometimes on a daily basis.

Will you give me a higher value if I recycle with my accessories?

We don’t offer a higher value or pay for accessories, but we will quite happily recycle them free of charge.

How many mobiles can I recycle?

Up to 5 mobiles in a single transaction. We also offer bulk recycling for larger quantities of mobiles – please speak to your customer service advisor for more information.

When recycling my mobile what do I need to do?

Simply visit your nearest Jacky’s outlet and our customer service executives will value your phone there and then. Please ensure to back up any pictures and phone numbers from your SIM card and memory cards as once the mobile is recycled we can’t return them.

In addition please bring valid photo identification to complete each transaction. These can include: passport, national ID card, driver’s license, labour card and airline ID card.

My old mobile is broken will you still recycle it?

We offer a value for Non-Working mobiles as well – and if no value is available we will still recycle your mobiles free of charge to save it from being discarded into a landfill.
