Jacky’s Electronics – the UAE’s leading chain of Electronics, Entertainment and Telecommunications stores – is celebrating its 40th anniversary by offering a staggering 40 per cent off from a selection of its most popular products over a four-day period.

The company started operations in Hong Kong in 1970, opening its first UAE retail showroom in Deira in 1988. Since then it has grown steadily and today has 12 outlets across the UAE.

The special discounts will be valid until July 24th 2010 and cover a wide range of products including Lenovo’s All-in-one Ideapad personal computer, BenQ’s VK3211 32” HD-ready television, Samsung’s 410-litre 2-door refrigerator, and Garmin’s Nuvi-250 GPS. Other special offers are likewise to be found on select cameras and mobile phones.

In addition to the special discounts, customers may receive surprise gifts with purchases such as meal vouchers, Spinney’s vouchers or scratch-and-win cards for free accessories.

Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer of Jacky’s Group of Companies, says that the special discounts are a fitting reward for Jacky’s customers to share in the special birthday celebrations.

“Since 1970, we have expanded simultaneously on several fronts – mail-order, retail outlets, distributorships, warehousing and logistics, as well as the development of 'Venus', an in-house brand of domestic appliances,” says Panjabi. “More importantly, we have expanded into a wider arena, covering not just the UAE, but Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as well.
