Zund has just released its Adobe Illustrator Plug-In to create displays, packaging, and furniture. The Zünd Design Centre (ZDC) is easy to use and should certainly be a crucial tool for those in the sign and display industry especially for those working with the retail, POP displays, exhibition graphics among others which have all been segments that have seen tremendous growth in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar in the last year.
ZDC 6.0 works now also with the latest Adobe Illustrator 2023 and native on Apple M1 Processors. Lines are defined as spot colour, reducing the time to prepare print/cut files. The 3D PDF creator includes a datasheet to show details, including the actual object size. In order to enhance user-friendliness, the coordinates are tagged, and a grid can be shown.
At the core of ZDC is an extensive library of parametric designs. From this collection, you can choose a template and enter your own dimensions. Complete your design with logos, patterns, text, and other design elements.
With 3D preview, you can check your design any time. 3D PDF files exported from ZDC are ideal for presentations or proposals. In addition, you can export your designs as 3D objects, video sequences, or static images.
You can then generate a print PDF from the finished design in which irrelevant data pertaining to processing methods is automatically hidden. You can also export .zcc files directly into Zünd Cut Centre with production-related data such as material type and thickness. Saved files can be reopened in Illustrator. The option to select the material enables visualization.
