Zünd at SIMAC: What Smarter Leather Cutting Means for Jacky’s Customers

Zünd will join technology partners Mind and Mindhive at SIMAC Tanning Tech 2026 to demonstrate an integrated approach to digital leather processing, from the initial inspection and grading of each hide through to production planning and accurate cutting.

Under the theme “Experience the wide world of leather cutting”, the three partners will show how intelligent defect detection, quality assessment, production software and Zünd digital cutting technology can work together as one connected process.

For Jacky’s customers across the Middle East, the development shows how connected technology can help leather manufacturers reduce material waste, improve consistency and respond more efficiently to changing production requirements. This is particularly relevant to manufacturers serving the footwear, leather goods, fashion accessories and automotive sectors.

Jacky’s Business Solutions offers and supports Zünd digital cutting systems across the region, providing local advice, installation, training and technical support.

Connecting the complete workflow

Leather manufacturers face a difficult balance. They need to make efficient use of a valuable natural material while maintaining consistent quality and responding to increasingly complex production requirements.

This is relevant across leather goods, fashion accessories, footwear, automotive interiors and other applications where quality and consistency matter.

Individual systems can improve one part of production. The greater opportunity comes from connecting each stage, from capturing and grading the hide to processing production data, arranging parts and cutting the material accurately.

An integrated workflow provides better visibility across the process. It can also help manufacturers standardise production, reduce avoidable manual work and achieve more consistent results.

Seeing the technology in operation

Visitors to SIMAC will be able to watch scheduled live broadcasts of machine demonstrations from Mind’s demonstration centre in Portugal.

The demonstrations will show how the different elements of the digital leather workflow operate together in a production environment. This gives manufacturers an opportunity to examine the process in practice, rather than viewing each technology as an isolated system.

Specialists from Zünd, Mind and Mindhive will also be available during the event to discuss different production requirements and explain how software, automation and cutting technology can be configured for individual applications.

Visitors can meet the partners in Hall 14 at the Mind stand, C48, and the Mindhive stand, C44.

Supporting regional leather manufacturers

Jacky’s Business Solutions offers and supports Zünd digital cutting systems for customers across the region.

Zünd’s modular cutting technology can be configured for different materials, production volumes and workflows. For leather processors, this includes applications requiring accurate cutting, efficient material use and the flexibility to handle changing designs without conventional cutting dies.

Jacky’s works with manufacturers to assess their production requirements, identify an appropriate cutting configuration and provide local installation, training and technical support.
