Greater flexibility in production
The Inverted Production Side feature gives designers more control over which side of a material will be used for printing and cutting.
When the production side is changed, the software automatically updates the corresponding 3D view and folding sequence. This helps teams confirm how the packaging will appear and behave before files are released for production.
EngView 2026 also introduces Flipped Structure for symmetrical packaging and display designs. Mirrored versions remain synchronised in both 2D and 3D, reducing the need to recreate or manually update the same structure twice.
This can save design time while helping production teams make better use of available sheet material.
More templates and easier collaboration
The latest version expands EngView’s Parametric Library with more than 80 additional industry-standard templates. These cover folding cartons, corrugated board and ICB structures, giving designers a broader range of starting points for new projects.
Templates can be resized and adapted to meet individual customer and product requirements.
Collaboration has also been improved. Designs from the library can be assigned unique links and shared with colleagues or customers by email or messaging platforms.
Recipients can view the structure through a browser, making it easier to review concepts and provide feedback without needing the complete design software installed on their own device.
