Evolving Applications
At Gitex, Roy shared what’s next for Temi. Improvements to mobility — like handling steps or inclines — and a more powerful SDK are already in development. These enhancements aim to expand the robot’s usability in both public and private spaces.
Healthcare remains a key growth area, particularly for telemedicine. “There’s a shortage of healthcare professionals globally, and Temi can support virtual consultations between patients and doctors — even across long distances,” Roy said.
Education is another focus. Temi is already being used as a tool for teaching coding and robotics, and in some countries — like Singapore — it’s been embedded into MBA curricula. Through Jacky’s “Robot as a Service” programme, schools in the UAE and wider GCC now have an affordable pathway to bring this technology into the classroom.
