In collaboration with Microsoft, Jacky’s Business Solutions hosted an engaging Microsoft Surface Roadshow on the premises of Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) to demonstrate how technology and innovation can empower educators. The event showcased the new Microsoft Surface devices, highlighting the seamless integration of Microsoft Copilot with Microsoft 365 to streamline tasks, boost productivity, and enable smarter workflows through AI-powered features.
Engaging Educators at JESS Jumeirah and Arabian Ranches
The first stop of the roadshow was at JESS Jumeirah (September 2024), followed by a recent session at JESS Arabian Ranches this November. Both events featured a dedicated Microsoft Surface stand, allowing staff to get hands-on access to the latest Surface Pro 10 and other Surface devices. A Microsoft product expert was present to demonstrate how Microsoft Copilot simplifies repetitive tasks and enhances daily productivity.
These interactive sessions provided educators with an opportunity to explore the features of Surface devices, understand the potential of Microsoft’s AI-driven tools, and evaluate how such technologies can support their teaching strategies.
A Decade of Collaboration
Steve Bambury, Head of Digital Learning and Innovation across the JESS Dubai school group, shared his thoughts on the event and the long-standing partnership with Jacky’s. “We’ve been working with Jacky’s now for around about eight or nine years. We have a one-to-one Surface programme in the secondary school, and all of our staff across the secondary school are also using Surface devices. It’s been really interesting today to have Jacky’s and Redington here on site at JESS Jumeirah, one of our primary schools and one of the oldest schools in the country, celebrating the 50th anniversary of JESS Jumeirah next year, to let staff have a play with the new Surface Pro 10s and Surface Laptop 6.”
Steve also emphasised how the sessions sparked curiosity and conversation among staff, especially as the primary schools are currently using Macs but are due for a device review next year. He added, “It’s been really interesting to see the staff engage with the Surface devices, to see them start to question what the differences and similarities are between a Surface and a Mac, and start to re-evaluate potentially what we are using and the strategy moving forward.”
Inspiring the Future
The Microsoft Surface Roadshow was not just about showcasing technology but about inspiring educators to rethink and innovate their teaching methods. By enabling hands-on interaction with AI-powered tools and devices, Jacky’s and Microsoft continue to support schools like JESS in their journey to modernise education and unlock new possibilities for both teachers and students.
With AI integration becoming a cornerstone of productivity and learning, Jacky’s Business Solutions is proud to play a role in equipping educators with the tools they need to inspire the next generation. As we look forward to more collaborations with JESS and other institutions, events like the Surface Roadshow reaffirm our commitment to innovation in education.
