From the COO’s Desk: Connecting Technology to Real Workflows

The most useful technology investments are rarely isolated products. Their real value comes from how well they fit into an organisation’s existing operations and how effectively they connect people, assets, information and production processes.

That is the theme running through this month’s stories.

Our new partnership with Blueiot    adds a high-accuracy location layer to the solutions we already deliver across healthcare, government, smart buildings, manufacturing and logistics. Many organisations can record that a person or asset passed a particular point. Far fewer can see where that person or asset is now. Real-time indoor positioning helps close that gap.

The practical value becomes especially clear in healthcare . Clinical teams should not have to spend valuable time searching for wheelchairs, infusion pumps or portable monitors. Better visibility can help hospitals use the equipment they already own more effectively, improve patient journeys and respond more quickly when critical assets are needed.

We are also expanding our portfolio through a new UAE distribution partnership with Verbatim. Corporate technology requirements are not always large or complex. Sometimes the need is for dependable storage, charging and connectivity products that employees and customers can use every day. The added option of dual branding also gives organisations a more practical approach to corporate gifting.

Across print and manufacturing, the same principle of connected workflows applies. Caldera PrimeCenter 5.1 helps print-production teams identify file problems earlier and process high volumes more efficiently. EngView  Package & Display Designer 2026 gives packaging teams better tools for structural design, automated calculations, visualisation and customer review. One Dubai packaging company is already using it to support the exacting requirements of pharmaceutical packaging.

Looking ahead to September, Zünd will join Mind and Mindhive at SIMAC  Tanning Tech in Milan to demonstrate a complete digital leather-processing workflow. The focus is not simply on cutting equipment. It is on connecting defect detection, quality assessment, production data and digital cutting so manufacturers can use valuable materials more efficiently and achieve more consistent results.

These applications may serve different industries, but the business requirement is similar. Organisations want better visibility, fewer manual steps, more consistent processes and technology that can be supported locally over the long term.

At Jacky’s Business Solutions, our role is to help customers look beyond individual features and understand how technology will work in practice. That includes selecting the right solution, integrating it into the wider operation, training users and providing the support needed after implementation.

I hope this month’s stories offer useful examples of how connected technology can help organisations work with greater clarity, efficiency and confidence.

Warm regards

Ashish Panjabi
