Ctrl-J and the Road Ahead: Why Jacky’s Moved Its HQ After a Decade

After more than ten years in its previous location, Jacky’s has relocated its corporate headquarters to Motor City in Dubai. The move isn’t just about real estate — it’s a reflection of how Dubai is evolving, and how Jacky’s is aligning its business to better serve its customers, partners, and employees in a decentralised, fast-moving city.

In recent years, Dubai has expanded beyond its traditional centres. With developments like Expo City, the relocation of the airport to Dubai World Central, and ongoing upgrades to key highways, new business corridors have emerged. Motor City — once known primarily as a residential community — now offers strategic access to key growth areas via Hessa Street, Al Khail Road, E311, and Umm Suqeim Street.

This shift played a role in the decision to move. As Ashish Panjabi, COO at Jacky’s, put it: “The city has changed. There’s no single commercial centre anymore. We wanted to be closer to the people and places that are shaping what’s next.”

Building a Space with Intention

The new headquarters, aptly named “Ctrl-J,” isn’t a rented space — it’s one Jacky’s owns. That has allowed the company to create a long-term home designed from the ground up, with every detail reflecting its values.

Meeting rooms and the innovation centre are named after history’s great inventors — from Edison to Turing — a nod to the legacy of ideas that power the technologies Jacky’s brings to market today. The interiors subtly reference the colours of both the Jacky’s brand and the UAE flag, tying identity to place.

The team didn’t just think about where people work, but how. Ctrl-J includes dedicated breakout areas, spaces for meals and reflection, and shared environments that foster conversation and creativity. “For many of us, the office is where we spend most of our waking hours,” Panjabi said. “It should feel like a place worth coming to.”

Serving Customers More Closely

The relocation also brings tangible benefits to Jacky’s customers. The company’s Service Hub has moved to Detroit House, adjacent to the new HQ. That means quicker drop-offs, easier parking, and a shorter trip for many of the businesses Jacky’s serves.

It’s also become a logistics hub for e-commerce and field service — part of a broader strategy to simplify how customers interact with Jacky’s across touchpoints.

A Fresh Digital Foundation

With the move came a reset of digital infrastructure. Video conferencing, internal connectivity, and telephony systems have all been upgraded — enabling teams across the region to work more seamlessly with one another and with clients.

Perhaps most importantly, the move has given teams new energy. The space is already becoming a place where employees bring visitors, hold workshops, and share ideas. And that, more than any design detail, is what makes Ctrl-J the right move.

As the company settles into its new home, the message is clear: Jacky’s is building not just for now, but for what comes next — in Dubai, and beyond.
