From the COO’s Desk: Making Technology Easier to Adopt

Technology decisions rarely begin with a product. They begin with a practical question: how can this work within the systems, budgets and teams we already have?

That question runs through this month’s updates.

Our Apple Business Event gave SME and SMB IT leaders a clearer view of how Mac can be deployed and managed alongside existing Windows environments. The conversation covered the business case, return on investment, total cost of ownership, Microsoft 365 integration, mobile device management and zero-touch deployment. It also showed how a phased Fleet Ready programme can give organisations a more manageable way to test Mac before deciding whether to scale.

In education, our work with NUWA Robotics and Blueiot shows two different ways technology can support schools. Kebbi gives teachers tools for creating interactive lessons across different subjects, while real-time location systems can help authorised teams locate shared equipment, manage visitor movement and understand how campus spaces are being used.

We are also expanding the choices available to customers through our new partnership with SOLUM. Electronic shelf labels, digital displays and connected applications can help organisations manage information more accurately and reduce manual updates across multiple locations.

Customer support remains just as important as new technology. Printpac’s renewal of its HP Parts Contract demonstrates the value of reliable technical support and access to genuine parts in a production environment where equipment uptime directly affects delivery. Flexa’s Italian patent for the Miura Katana also shows how focused product innovation can solve a specific finishing challenge.

With the UAE’s busy technology and events season approaching, Verbatim’s storage and charging products offer businesses practical options for corporate gifting, conference packs and employee programmes.

These stories cover different products and sectors, but the requirement is consistent. Customers want technology that fits their operations, can be introduced in a manageable way and is supported throughout its working life.

At Jacky’s Business Solutions, our role is to help customers evaluate what fits, plan the implementation and provide the local support needed after deployment.

I hope this month’s stories provide useful ideas for your own organisation.

Warm regards

Ashish Panjabi
