Onyx, one of the key RIP software vendors Jacky’s Business Solutions works with has launched a new version of its software, Onyx 22.
Like all its versions, Onyx makes sure the software is up to date with the latest printer drivers, made compatible to the latest windows OS releases, bug fixes, improved user experience, automation among others.
The Onyx 22 introduces a new drag-and-drop user experience and easy-to-use tools for everyday automation. Files can now be dragged and dropped to the RIP-Queue as well as new Quick Sets tab to apply common job automation, reducing manual errors on complex jobs. The updated software also allows for fast edits in fewer clicks before ripping including page size, rotation, mirror, or copies. The users can now add important customer data and job notes that carry through to production, ensuring easy automation.
The new Onyx 22 also comes with filename automation which ensures prints match customer orders. The user can now define print settings including copies, magnification, rotation, order number, company, and customer name with filename print settings automatically applying in the RIP. Automated job ticket information reduces manual errors.
The new version also comes with enhanced nest management controls for artwork placement. It allows for auto-trim for flatbed and DTG printing as well as allows users to split copies into separate jobs to save on sheet media. Production houses can now remove unwanted marks or bleed with auto image cropping.
