Welcome to another edition of our monthly newsletters. As we head into another month of events and celebrations post Ramadan, we had an action-packed May.
We have been working with DEWA’s technology team for a few years now. This month, on behalf of Softbank Robotics, we share a special award in recognition of their innovative use of Pepper and support and partnership with Jacky’s. We also have a story about the collaboration between Softbank and NISKA Retail Robotics, an Australian-born tech start-up, to deploy Pepper as a sales assistant at the store to process orders from the Robotics ice cream vending machine.
Towards the end of last month, we also saw the inauguration of Bellabot at the new Lulu hypermarket in Sharjah. This was a “proof of concept” to enable Lulu to evaluate before rolling out to other Lulu hypermarkets and malls.
Our retail team also joined Microsoft and Redington to support a special 3-day event at RTA for its management and employees where the new launches in the Surface family were shown.
In addition, we have a couple of updates from our vendors. Zund launched and shared its PreCut Centre workflow at JEC World earlier this month. At the same event, Massivit, our large format 3D printing vendor, launched the largest 3D printer, the Massivit 10000.
