DEWA recognised by Softbank Robotics and Jacky’s Business Solutions as Valued Customer

Jacky’s Business Solutions has presented a special token of appreciation to the innovation team at DEWA on behalf of Softbank Robotics for being a valued customer and for its pioneering adoption of Pepper for their customer experience across several customer service centres and global events, showcasing the various applications they have developed for the robot. 

At a special event at DEWA’s main office, Ashish Panjabi, COO of Jacky’s Group handed over the award to Adel Al Tamimi, Director – GIS & GEO Solutions and previously heading the technology and Innovation team at DEWA. The event was also attended by Dr Ali Rashed bin Ghaith AlSuwaidi, Chief Innovation Officer at DEWA, Mohamed Obaid Mohamed Alsharid, Chief Digital Officer for DEWA, and Abdalla Yousif Alhosani of Digital X.

DEWA has deployed Pepper robots in the Future Customer Happiness Centres to assist the customers through a wide range of informational and transactional services. Moreover, the robot has participated in numerous events and exhibitions, showing the advancement in digital transformation and adoption of smart services. In addition, the Pepper robots have been issued an employee ID, and promote DEWA services and latest solutions.

Al Tamimi said, “We are proud of our partnership with Jacky’s. The Jacky’s brand is always associated with quality of service. Able to communicate in both English and Arabic, DEWA’s Pepper robots have participated in more than 48 national and international events and exhibitions and seen a 98% adoption rate of DEWA smart services since April/May 2020.
