Ajman Police deploys Temi and Pepper robots for customer

To support the government’s vision of smart transformation in the provision of services, the Ajman Police General Command launched smart robotsTemi and Pepper – in its Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Services Center to enhance artificial intelligence in the service of customers. This will allow customers to obtain assistance in completing their services, in order to achieve the strategic goal of the Ministry of Interior to enhance the happiness of customers about the services provided.

In a special video posted on their Facebook page, they explained that Pepper is being used to provide information to customer for their services while Temi is used to escort customers to the relevant counter based on their needs

Two robots were provided to assist customers in obtaining the required services. Colonel Sultan Khalifa Abu Muhair, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, explained that Pepper receives customers and welcomes them at the entrance to the center. It also explains and obtains all the data and requirements to complete the service, such as opening a traffic file, the service of inquiring about traffic violations, and other services. The second robot, Temi, has been provided to voluntarily accompany the customer to the required service counter, according to the type of service. The customer enters the order number on the robot's tablet to accompany him and guide him to the required counter.

His Excellency Brigadier General Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director General of Police Operations at Ajman Police, said that the launch of smart robots at the service center came as part of the leadership’s efforts to enhance artificial intelligence in serving customers, stressing its commitment to encouraging them to use smart channels to deliver services, and striving to be a pioneering, sustainable and innovative police leadership.
