HP launched new HP Latex 630 Printer Series for Print Service Providers

HP launched the new HP Latex 630 printer series, completing HP’s Latex range and making white ink technology available to Print Service Providers (PSPs) of all sizes. White ink allows these users to produce a more impactful range of signage and décor jobs with stunning image quality and colours that jump off the page, creating attention grabbing campaigns for end-customers. The HP Latex 630-series, as with the rest of HP’s Latex portfolio, allows firms to offer more sustainable printing services: with water-based latex inks that give off negligible chemicals or odours; UL ECOLOGO® and EPEAT® environmental certifications; and carton-based cartridges that reduce plastic by using 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard containers, as well as recycled plastics from HP’s closed-loop process – including post-consumer beverage bottles. The HP Latex 630 family provides a number of options and features, including a choice of four models: HP Latex 630 and HP Latex 630 W – the latter with white ink functionality and the HP Latex 630 and 630 W Print & Cut – giving customers the option of upgrading to a dual-device solution, with print and cut functionality. The new machines save time with automated front-loading system and simple, fast load/unload workflows; easy re-prints – with in-printer storage of up to 10GB; stunning image quality – with HP Pixel Control Technology and new printhead architecture for sharper small text, all at standard speeds of 14m2 an hour and software as standard – SAi RIP solution offered out of the box. By introducing white ink with a mid-range Latex printer, it allows print service providers in the UAE and other Gulf countries that focus on interior decor, textile and POP’s displays to accept print jobs that they previously couldn’t cater to. As part of a continued focus on helping PSPs improve productivity and grow their business, HP has also announced HP PrintOS Design & eCommerce – an intuitive web-to-print solution that saves valuable time with simplified print application design capabilities, efficient production paths, and step-by-step guidance on how PSPs can integrate it with an existing e-commerce store. If you want to find out more about these new machines, please reach out to our team on dpd@www.jackys.com. As a business that has a strong history of resilience, it was a natural progression for us to explore and expand our digital printing options combining our offset printing mindset with the new digital technologies that opened us to new possibilities.” Atlas Printing decided to diversify into wide format digital printing to target into POS (point of sale) and POP (point of purchase) segments that had wider appeal not just in the retail and hospitality space but the new HP technology also enabled the company to print on any substrate which further opened up applications in events, exhibitions and interior design too. According to Radia, HP’s Latex tipped the scales because of its eco-friendly, water based technology. He added, “We see a great potential for growth and anticipate that this can become close to what our offset printing used to be. Digital print counts for 30 % now – and with the demand for events – this business model could well account for more 50% of our business over the next 2-3 years.” Atlas Printing is now a one stop hybrid printing services offering options from printing small quantities of business cards for the consumer to full-fledged indoor style printing of wall papers and other designs.
