Jacky’s showcases desktop 3D printing applications in STEM education

Jacky’s Business Solutions showcased the applications of desktop 3D printing in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education at the Education Experts Conference held in Abu Dhabi in October 2017.

In line with the topics discussed at the conference, such as driving teaching and learning through digital strategies and integrating the latest technologies in teaching methods, Jacky’s presented 3D printed samples created using MakerBot and Mcor desktop 3D printers.

Recently, MakerBot introduced My MakerBot, a cloud-based platform created to for K-12 students and educators to access and manage 3D printing in classrooms via Chromebook laptops, and the MakerBot Educators Guidebook, which features a crash course in 3D design and printing as well as nine classroom-ready lesson plans for educators. MakerBot has collaborated with Autodesk to connect My MakerBot with Autodesk’s browser-based 3D design and modeling software Tinkercad. By connecting two powerful science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning tools, MakerBot is empowering educators so that they can equip students with critical problem solving skills.
